Mock Exam 1

Twenty questions, five points each, drawn across chapters 1 to 5 in the same proportions as the real paper. Freshly generated every time, so it is never the same exam twice.

Before you start

  • Twenty questions, five points each, one hundred points in total.
  • Four questions from each of chapters 1 to 5, in the order the paper runs.
  • Fifty minutes if you take it under time. You can finish early.
  • You can move back and change an answer before submitting.
  • On the real paper you must show your work, with units and correct significant figures. Do that here on paper alongside.

What this is and is not

The questions are generated from the same data and rules as the rest of the atlas, modelled on your course’s practice decks. They are good practice for the kinds of question and the arithmetic, but they are not the real paper and the balance of topics is a reasonable guess, not inside knowledge.

Only calculators are allowed in the real exam

Your exam front page says so directly. Use this to prepare, not to sit beside you on the day.
